Mince Curry served with rice or roti is one of the tastiest and most commonly eaten curries in South Africa!What do you need to make Minced Beef Curry?Oil — I use sunflower oil for this beef mince curry, but any other kind of vegetable oil, would work just fine.Beef Mince — Lean beef mince with 5%fat is best if you want to keep this mince curry on the healthier side.Ginger and Garlic Paste, Fresh Curry Leaves, Whole Stick Cinnamon and Cardamom Pods— These infuse the curry with flavour, so it's best to add this when braising the onions.Spices — I use a mix of a ground spices viz. mild curry powder, some chilli powder if you like a fiery curry, ground coriander, ground cumin and turmeric powder to make this curried minced beef.Peas — I use frozen peas, but canned peas will also be fine to use.If you'd like your ground beef curry to be fiery, you can use a medium or hot curry powder instead.
