Wash and trim green beans. Chop into 3cm length.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
Add onion and cook, stirring, for 2 mins or until starting to brown.
Add ginger and garlic, cumin, coriander, garam masala, chilli powder and ground turmeric.
At this stage you can air fry the potatoes if using for 10 mins. If you do not have an air fryer then just add the potatoes with the mince.
Add the mince and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up any lumps, for about 15 mins or until cooked through.
Add green beans and cook, covered, for no more than 5 mins as you do not want the green beans to go grey.
Serve hot with basmati rice.
